About the Role

We are looking for a Help Desk Technician Contractor for the Ulm Transporeon Office / Germany. The position is a Temporary position for a duration of 6 months.

The IS Help Desk Technician is an employee who will work on specialized tasks and also work together with the Help Desk team in providing quality technology support under the direct supervision of the IS Help Desk Supervisor/Team Lead. Not only do you provide help desk support services, but you are also at the front line of our department and maintain the image and credibility of the department as a whole.  Critical core competencies for this position are customer service, professionalism, communication, and technical skills. The focus for this position is on computer replacements of end users and all the related activities for the lifecycle.

What You Will Do

  • You will support a variety of end-users and software developers onsite in our Ulm office and other Germany based locations. 

  • The support role is responsible for performing the complete lifecycle of end user systems.

  • Support help desk requests from the ticketing system and manage the lifecycle of the request to resolution.

  • Support walk-up requests for technical support.

  • Troubleshoot and repair computer hardware.

  • Assist with organizing equipment inventory.

  • Assist with recycling equipment inventory.

  • Oral and written communication skills in German and English. (Fluency is mandatory)

  • Deep knowledge in working with IOS and other Apple products and Dell workstations and laptops, Android & Apple mobile devices, Windows 10/11, and mainstream applications.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in information technology

  • Must have a general understanding and working knowledge of mainstream computer operating systems, hardware, and software.

  • Must be able to work cohesively and collaborate in a team environment.

Job Location

Onsite at our office in Ulm.

The Ulm office is conveniently located and easily accessible by Highways A7 and A8 and has a hub for train and public transport. Employees are provided with a variety of fruit, a selection of beverages (coffee and tea, water, soft drinks), and snacks. A Gym is located on the first floor. The office is equipped with state-of-the-art technology (Google MeetKits and more).
