General Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive IT Business Analyst to join our technology team. In this role, you will support mission-critical platforms, collaborate with Product Owners and engineering teams, and ensure high-quality requirements flow through the Agile delivery lifecycle.This position combines production support (Run) with new feature development (Grow) in a fast-paced, Agile environment.
Job Specifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in an Agile environment
Strong experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
Ability to work effectively across technical and business teams
Self-motivated with a continuous improvement mindset
Technical Environment
Rally, ServiceNow, Clarity
Merlin platform (mainframe database, ADI)
AWS
Preferred Qualifications
Scrum Master or SAFe experience
Experience supporting enterprise platforms
IIBA certification
Primary Responsibilities
Collaborate with Product Owners to define, refine, and prioritize backlog items
Write clear, concise user stories and acceptance criteria
Ensure backlog items meet Definition of Ready/Done standards
Analyze business processes and translate them into actionable requirements
Support incidents and enhancement requests through ServiceNow
Participate in daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, and planning sessions
Coordinate and support acceptance testing and defect management
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure ALM tools are up to date
Serve as a bridge between business needs and technical solutions
Contribute to continuous improvement of Agile and BA practices

The base salary range for applicants for this position is listed below. Unless actual salary is indicated above in the job description, actual pay will be based on skill, geographical location and experience.
$73,300.00-$150,500.00Additionally, Unum offers a portfolio of benefits and rewards that are competitive and comprehensive including healthcare benefits (health, vision, dental), insurance benefits (short & long-term disability), performance-based incentive plans, paid time off, and a 401(k) retirement plan with an employer match up to 5% and an additional 4.5% contribution whether you contribute to the plan or not. All benefits are subject to the terms and conditions of individual Plans.
