This is an ideal opportunity for a candidate who enjoys combining operational ownership,

- Ensure day‑to‑day tape services (handling, retention, recovery, and lifecycle management) operate reliably and consistently.
- Partner with data center and storage teams to support backup and recovery objectives.
Ensure Compliance & Audit Readiness
- Maintain audit‑ready tape operations by ensuring accurate documentation, inventory tracking, and process adherence
- Support internal and external audits by providing clear operational evidence and responding to findings as needed
- Help ensure tape handling and data retention practices align with regulatory and industry requirements.
Lead Vendor & Partner Engagements
- Act as the main operational contact for tape vendors and service providers.
- Manage vendor incidents, escalations, and service issues through resolution.
- Coordinate root cause analysis and drive corrective actions when needed.
Drive Incident Response & Risk Reduction
- Lead response efforts for tape‑related incidents impacting backup, restore, or recovery services.
- Work cross‑functionally to resolve issues and prevent recurrence.
- Identify operational risks and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Manage Inventory, Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate tape inventories, location tracking, and lifecycle status.
- Establish operational metrics and reporting to demonstrate service health and reliability.
- Drive standardization and improvements across tape media processes.
