Job description

About the role 

Gartner is looking for a Sr Test Engineer focusing on iOS and Android App Testing and Automation. This person will be a part of Test Engineering Team and supporting Gartners client facing experience. This includes supporting all the Manual Testing and Automation Testing and production release related operations within the team. 

 

What you’ll do: 

  • Review functional and technical documents to understand the Product requirements. 

  • Create and execute manual and automated test cases for functionality, acceptance criteria for iOS and Android Application. 

  • Engage and partner with developers and BA in an agile development environment to understand requirements and perform testing.  

  • Create test scenarios, run functional tests, create regression suite, create testing artifacts, and raise defects with detailed information. 

  • Follow coding standards, build appropriate tests and deployment scripts and review project artifacts created by peers. 

 

What you will need: 

•        Bachelor's degree/MCA in Computer Science, Information Technology or relevant professional experience 

•        4+ years’ experience in an IT or Business environment testing highly scalable applications 

•        Qualitative and Quantitative Problem-Solving Skills 

•        Shows ownership and accountability 

  

 

Must Have:  

•        4+ year of hands-on experience in Mobile (hybrid or Native) Application Testing  

•        4+ year of extensive experience in creating automation framework. Must be able to write automation test cases for mobile application using Appium (iOS and Android) 

•        Experience in automating web applications using test automation tools and frameworks, such as Selenium, TestNG, Cucumber & etc. 

•        Strong understanding of testing principles 

•        Proficient in Java language 

•        Able to independently support projects and work with various stakeholders 

•        Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills, with strong ability to learn, adapt and comprehend business processes 

 

 

Nice to have: 

  • Proficient in SQL for testing. 

  • Experience in testing API’s using Postman or automation tool will be a plus. 

  • Hands on experience of Test management tools JIRA 

  • Intermediate proficiency in Javascript & Python  

  • Other Mobile testing frameworks like XCUITEST, playwright  

  • Working with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Kubernetes) and integrating test suite with tools in the DevOps/CICD pipelines is good to have
