Position Summary
The person in this position performs professional work in research, development, design, testing, analysis, production, construction, maintenance, and operation or electrical systems employed in company product lines.
Qualifications
Experience with reading and understanding schematics is required
Familiarity with schematic capture and / or PCB layout in CAD preferred
Demonstrable knowledge of common electronic interfaces such as USB, SPI, I2C, and Ethernet
Fundamental conceptual knowledge of common uControllers
Hands-on capability using electronic test equipment such as protocol analyzers, MSO's etc
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of electrical engineering theory, principles and procedures is required
Must have working knowledge with modern testing equipment, e.g. oscilloscopes, digital analyzers, multi-meters, function generators, and protocol analyzers
Working knowledge of USB PHY and protocol layers is preferred
Ability to use optical test equipment including color analyzers is preferred
Working knowledge of Altium, AutoCAD, JIRA, and PLM systems are preferred
Strong Project management organizational skills are preferred.
General computer skills including MS Office and videoconferencing are required
Effective communication skills for communicating to external vendors is preferred
Qualifications
Responsibilities
Assist Senior level staff in the full life cycle of electronic systems development, release, and support.
Participate in the design, test, documentation and delivery of electronic components, hardware, and/or firmware.
Schematic and / or PCB Layout Design Entry using Altium Designer CAD Tool
Diagnosis and Problem Solving throughout development and field support.
Troubleshooting of designs using test equipment and proper analysis techniques.
Develop test kits and support test firmware for electrical hardware that has been designed by Light and Wonder.
Provide electrical engineering support to LnW vendors and internal teams.
Performs most assignments independently, within scope of defined program, with direction from senior level engineers.
Education
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
Years of Related Experience
0-5 years in electronics engineering with emphasis circuit analysis, testing and troubleshooting
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, use hands, operate a computer, and have specific vision abilities to include close and distance vision, and ability to adjust focus working with computer and business equipment.
