Job Description

In this role, you have the opportunity to

Manage the Global Supply Chain end-to-end in terms of global transportation planning, forecasting and execution. You will optimize operations across the regions securing capacity leverage with Carriers and Freight Forwarders including service providers as well as control and driving cost optimization initiatives.

Establishing a Carrier network that covers all requirements of a market and business in terms of service, lead-time and costs based on the shipping profiles regarding all MOTs will be Your standard task.

Your role

  • Managing Global Transportation operations end‑to‑end, covering planning, forecasting, and execution across all modes of transport (Air, Ocean, International Parcel).

  • Owning carrier strategy and execution, including tender orchestration, carrier implementation, and ongoing performance management through MPRs and QPRs.

  • Ensuring sufficient transport capacity aligned with business demand, seasonality, and the Philips Distribution Center network.

  • Monitoring transport costs versus budget and supporting short‑ to mid‑term transport strategies in line with business developments

  • Driving carrier performance, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives focused on service, lead time, and cost efficiency.

  • Analyzing transport patterns, shipment profiles, and tariff drivers to identify optimization opportunities.

  • Contributing to global transport process standardization and governance, including crisis, risk, and force majeure management.

  • Supporting analytics and decision‑making using TMS, Transport Analytics (Qlik Sense), and Power BI.

  • Leading or contributing to projects in line with Philips project management standards and support onboarding and knowledge sharing within the team.

You’re the right fit if

  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Transportation, or a related field.

  • You have 5+ years of experience in supply chain, transport management, warehousing, or customer service operations.

  • You bring strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills, with a proactive, ownership‑driven mindset.

  • You have experience working with transport data and analytics tools (e.g. Power BI, Qlik Sense).

  • You are comfortable working cross‑functionally with markets, procurement, service providers, and internal stakeholders.

  • You have solid MS Office skills, with advanced knowledge of Excel; knowledge of SAP and global TMS platforms is a strong asset.

  • You are fluent in English and demonstrate high learning agility and openness to change.
