Knowledge of Workday and third party payroll, benefits, and Time & Attendance platforms is required.

Job Overview

In this role, you will execute Ireland Payroll & Benefits processes with a strong understanding of local employment legislation, Revenue requirements, and statutory obligations. You will play a key role in ensuring payroll accuracy, data integrity, and compliance, while supporting HR operations and delivering an excellent employee experience.

You will collaborate with payroll and benefits suppliers, HR partners, and internal stakeholders to support employee lifecycle events, benefit administration, and payroll processing. You will ensure compliance with Irish employment law, tax regulations, and internal controls.

Knowledge of Workday and third‑party payroll, benefits, and Time & Attendance platforms is required.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the quality delivery of Ireland Payroll & Benefits operations and service:

  • Respond to and manage Payroll & Benefits queries via the ticketing system from employees, managers, and HR partners.
  • Administer end‑to‑end Irish payroll processes, ensuring accurate inputs, validation, and post‑payroll checks.
  • Maintain service quality in line with defined metrics and SLAs.
  • Maintain and update employee data in HR systems, ensuring accuracy for payroll, tax, and benefits purposes.
  • Partner with payroll providers to ensure compliance with payroll calendars, Revenue reporting, and statutory requirements.
  • Perform payroll reconciliations and audits to ensure accurate monthly payroll and annual returns, including PAYE, PRSI, USC, and pension deductions.
  • Support annual activities such as P60s, Statement of Liability support, and statutory reporting.
  • Apply judgment within established procedures, escalating complex or non‑standard issues as appropriate.
  • Maintain and update local HR portal content to support employee self‑service and ensure compliance with Irish legislation.

Requirements

  • Strong customer service mindset with the ability to communicate payroll and benefits information clearly and confidently.
  • Good understanding of Irish payroll processing, employment law, employment tax, and benefits administration.
  • Analytical mindset with experience reviewing payroll data and identifying discrepancies.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and regulatory environments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Familiarity with Generative AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT) is a plus.

Compliance and Process Improvement

  • Ensure payroll and benefits compliance with Irish legislation and internal policies.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across Payroll, Benefits, and People Operations.


Qualifications

  • Proven experience in Payroll and/or HR Operations
  • Education level comparable to a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience with Irish payroll, Revenue requirements, and benefits management.
