In partnership with Peel Children’s Aid Society (PeelCAS), TELUS Health is seeking a Registered Social Worker or Registered Psychotherapist to provide impactful counselling to children, youth, and families navigating a wide range of complex challenges.
This is a purpose-driven opportunity to deliver meaningful, trauma-informed care that supports healing, strengthens family bonds, and promotes long-term resilience, while expanding access to mental health services within Spanish-speaking and underserved communities.
The Difference You'll Make
In this impactful role, you will work alongside TELUS Health’s Government Services team, delivering individual, family, and couple counselling to clients referred by Peel CAS. Services are offered in-person, virtually, and telephone counselling.
You’ll play a critical role in supporting racialized and underserved populations through culturally safe, trauma-informed care. This role combines flexibility, professional development, and the ability to work both independently and within a multi-disciplinary support team.

Clinical Responsibilities
Provide timely, clinically sound intake, assessment, and counselling services to referred clients.
Collaborate with clients, families, and referral agents to clarify goals and create actionable care plans.
Deliver short-to-medium-term therapeutic interventions (approx. 6 sessions) with a strong emphasis on solution-focused, trauma-informed, and culturally relevant approaches.
Offer services in Spanish, where appropriate, and maintain a culturally responsive practice.
Act as a case manager—connecting families to community resources and advocating for their access to necessary supports.
Conduct ongoing risk assessments and safety planning as needed.
Maintain communication with referral agents while upholding confidentiality standards.
Administrative Responsibilities
Participate in clinical supervision and peer consultation.
Respond to inquiries and manage client-related communications in a timely and professional manner.

Minimum two (2) years of experience supporting youth facing justice involvement, mental health challenges, or complex trauma.
Demonstrated experience working with mandated clients and understanding the youth justice system.
Proficiency with evidence-based modalities such as CBT, DBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and trauma-informed practices.
Professional liability insurance.
Strong engagement, boundary-setting, and collaboration skills in high-risk environments.
