Join ERM as a Principal Consultant in our Poland team and take a leading role in delivering Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIA) across major capital projects. Sitting within our dynamic Capital Project Delivery (CPD) offering, this role is ideal for a senior professional who thrives on technical leadership, client engagement, and driving high‑quality outcomes in fast‑moving sectors.

About the Role:

  • Lead and manage the delivery of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), Environmental, Social (& Health) Impact Assessment (ESIA/ESHIA) projects across various sectors – with a strong focus on renewables (offshore & onshore wind, BESS, PV), ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.

  • Develop and implement strategies to assess and mitigate environmental and social risks and impacts associated with client operations and projects.

  • Prepare environmental/Social management plans (EMP/ESMP) on environmental parameters such as air, water, noise, land use, soil etc.

  • Conduct environmental due diligence and similar assessments based on established international standards (EP, IFC, EBRD) and preparation of corrective action plans.

  • Provide technical expertise on environmental permitting, impact studies, and regulatory requirements.

  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to design sustainable solutions that align with business goals and regulatory frameworks.

  • Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively to ensure successful delivery.

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, identifying opportunities for business development and expansion of services.

  • Mentor and develop junior consultants, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work culture.

  • Prepare high-quality proposals, reports, and presentations to support client engagement and project delivery.

About You:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.

  • Experience in environmental consulting or industry, with a strong focus on EIAs/ESIAs and related permitting processes.

  • Proven track record of managing complex, large-scale EIA/ESIA projects across various industries.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of environmental regulations, standards, and best practices at local, regional, and international levels.

  • Experience with project finance and practical knowledge of international standards - IFC Performance Standards and Equator Principles will be a strong plus

  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to engage with clients and stakeholders effectively.

  • Fluency in English and Polish.
