The Adhesives & Fluids business within DuPont serves primarily automotive market and expect to grow fast along with the trend of auto electrification and light weighting.  This position is responsible for the lab work to support R&D and TS&D projects.

Responsibilities:

• Conform to the guidelines for laboratory equipment, supplies, training procedures and records according to Quality System standards and Lab Safety requirements.
• Follow the guidance from R&D Scientists and TS&D Engineers to develop testing plans and conduct lab tests to support adhesive product and application development, including adhesive sample preparation, sample testing, result summary.
• Prepare the experiment and test reports for R&D projects and customer requests.
• Work with R&D Scientists and TS&D Engineers to set up new lab test methods according to business needs.
• Work with Lab Manager to set up new equipment and finish Pre-Startup Safety Review.
• Submit samples to internal and external resources for tests and collect test reports based on business needs.
• Good documentation of lab work to ensure the easy tracking of sample information, test conditions, and test results.
• Efficient lab work management with high quality test data.
• Responsible for the safe operation of chemical and laboratory equipment, disposal of lab waste, equipment maintenance, raw material inventory management, and 5S management of assigned lab areas.

Qualifications:

• B.S. degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Polymer Science, or related majors.
• More than 2-year lab testing experience in R&D/TS&D groups, preferably in multinational companies. Experience with rich reactor and mixer operation, polymer mechanical and rheology tests is preferred.
• Good discipline in writing experimental summary and reports.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in Chinese. Capable of reading instrument manual and technical literature in English.
• Good practice of lab safety and 5S management.
• Demonstrated good teamwork.
• Learning agility and self-driven.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused global environment.
