We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sales Director for Japan to lead and expand our business operations in the region. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth, leading high-performing sales teams, identifying strategic opportunities (including M&A, if required), and building long-term relationships with clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IDC (Internet Data Center) sales and a proven track record of exceeding revenue targets in a competitive, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning & Execution:
    • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth across targeted geographies and industry sectors.
    • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, including potential M&A initiatives in Japan and surrounding markets.
  • Market & Client Development:
    • Conduct market research and analyze industry trends to identify new growth areas.
    • Proactively identify and pursue new customer accounts; build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships.
    • Serve as a key negotiator and closer for major deals, ensuring value-aligned outcomes.
  • Sales & Forecasting:
    • Deliver accurate revenue forecasting and reporting for strategic planning and decision-making.
    • Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets while maintaining full visibility into the sales pipeline at all stages.
  • Team Leadership & Development:
    • Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing international sales team.
    • Foster a results-driven culture focused on performance, collaboration, and professional development.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Partner with internal teams including legal, finance, operations, construction, and design to ensure seamless project delivery and customer satisfaction.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a senior sales leadership role, ideally within the IDC or data center industry.
  • Proven track record of consistently exceeding sales targets and growing market share.
  • Experience managing large, complex deals and client portfolios.
  • Deep understanding of Japanese business culture and the ability to conduct business fluently in Japanese and English.
