Job description
As an On-Platform Strategy Manager, you will usher in an exciting new chapter for Peacock, sitting at
the intersection of on-platform innovation, content merchandising, and campaign strategy.
As features like vertical video and games continue to scale across dozens of playlists and formats,
including sports-driven verticals such as Can’t Miss Highlights and Peacock Scorecard, this role
will oversee the curation and merchandising strategies for these features, navigating increasing
complexity across content refreshes, stakeholder coordination, testing, and performance
optimization.
You will partner closely with Product, Marketing, Channel Operations, Platform Operations, and Analytics to ensure cohesive, high-impact on-platform execution. In addition, you will oversee the strategic usage of on-platform tooling, including showcase and takeover stunts, in-product notifications, and emerging product features—ensuring alignment with content priorities, marketing beats, and platform capabilities. In close
collaboration with the Merchandising Campaign Planning team, you will also advise on best practices for tooling and consult on campaign strategy that drives discovery and engagement for tentpole moments across devices.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Merchandising Strategy, you will balance strategic planning
with hands-on leadership, providing guidance to junior team members while owning end-to-end
execution for key merchandising initiatives and platform moments.
Responsibilities
- Execute the on-platform growth strategy for mobile initiatives and interactive features, partnering with Product, Marketing, and Operations to shape positioning, placement, and rollout across devices
- Manage the tactical guidelines around on-platform tooling for priority campaign stunts, including IPNs and showcase rails
- Partner with Channel Operations & Planning to oversee content deliveries, proactively flag risks or gaps, and adjust merchandising plans as needed
- Lead cross-functional stakeholder coordination and management, ensuring asset readiness, clear communication, and alignment on goals, timing, and execution
- Guide testing and experimentation efforts, including A/B tests, new product verticals, and emerging merchandising formats, using performance insights to inform strategy
- Assess and support the rollout of new product features, defining how they should be represented and prioritized from a merchandising perspective
- Synthesize performance insights and trends into clear recommendations and presentations for senior leadership and cross-functional partners
- Support and mentor junior team members, helping to establish best practices, workflows, and quality standards
- 4+ years of professional experience in merchandising, content strategy, product marketing, product, social, or a related field
- Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of streaming and product mechanics
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Airtable or similar project management and content tracking tools
- Experience partnering closely with Product, Marketing, Operations, and Analytics teams
- Ability to interpret data and performance trends to inform strategy and optimize merchandising outcomes
- Comfortable supporting time-sensitive launches and providing leadership during high visibility moments
Desired Characteristics
- Strong strategic thinker with the ability to translate big-picture goals into executable plans
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence presenting to senior stakeholders
- Experience with experimentation frameworks, A/B testing, and iterative optimization
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in anticipating needs and risks
- Strong editorial instincts and a passion for building compelling content experiences
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity and evolving workflows
- Interest in entertainment, pop culture, sports, and interactive experiences
- People-oriented leader who enjoys mentoring and developing others
