Job description

AECOM is seeking an HR Tech Business Analyst to be based in one of AECOM's locations in Canada. This position has the flexibility to work from a virtual / home location 100% of the time. 

Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Apply advanced understanding of Workday, ServiceNow, and MS Office.
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis of system issues, while gathering data to support the development of new enhancements, service requests, and incident resolutions.
  • Proactively identify and advocate progress towards small-scale enhancement projects, including scoping requirements, coordinating cross-functional teams, managing timelines, and ensuring successful delivery of solutions that align with business objectives.
  • Practice strong responsiveness and attention to detail, ensuring timely follow-up, accurate system updates, and high-quality delivery of work.
  • Support management of Americas regional ticket backlog, prioritizing enhancements and incidents to ensure timely resolution.
  • Foster a global perspective by collaborating with colleagues across various regions to ensure alignment on international priorities and facilitate cohesive, globally integrated changes.
  • Demonstrate awareness of Agile ways of working, supporting iterative delivery, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Represent business needs and facilitate end-user feedback to influence Workday configuration and enable self-service adoption.
  • Support emerging AI capabilities and tools, with the ability to identify opportunities to enhance HR processes, insights, and user experience.
  • Work closely with Workday Business Analyst Lead and the Workday technical support team to develop requirements, test configurations, and vet solutions with key regional stakeholders.
  • Partner with People Services, HR, IT, and Finance to represent the Americas region’s requirements for Workday-integrated systems, while leading change management and communication strategies to support system enhancements and releases.
  • Ensure the Workday security model is configured to meet Americas region needs, including consulting with end users to develop requirements for new roles, decommission old roles, or edit existing roles.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of strategic priorities and proactively influence stakeholders to remain aligned.
  • Analyze data to identify patterns and trends that inform process improvements and system configurations, ultimately enhancing the overall user experience.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's and 4+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Relevant experience includes:

  • Demonstrated experience working with HR technology within a large, complex regional or global environment.
  • Strong Workday HCM knowledge, including identifying and diagnosing system issues, partnering with stakeholders to gather requirements, and delivering enhancement solutions.
  • Experience delivering small to medium-scale system enhancements or improvement initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Agile ways of working, supporting iterative delivery, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Understanding of emerging AI capabilities and tools, with the ability to identify opportunities to enhance HR processes, insights, and user experience.
  • Relocation support is not available for this position.
