Job description

Transform the Future of Children's Faith-Based Media

Build the analytical backbone of one of the fastest-growing faith-based media companies for Christian families. With over $25M raised, 100K+ paid members, and breakeven in sight by mid-2026, Minno needs its first embedded analytics leader to transform data from 40+ fragmented sources into the unified intelligence that powers every major business decision. We're seeking a data leader who brings insights before being asked - not an order-taker.

The Opportunity

As Head of Analytics, you'll build and own Minno's analytics function from the ground up - transforming fragmented data into a unified, trusted foundation that drives every major decision across the company. You'll partner directly with the CEO, CFO, CMO, CCO, CTO, and CPO to unlock content intelligence, power marketing attribution, model member behavior, and build the investor-grade analytics infrastructure required to scale rapidly.

This is Minno's first embedded analytics hire. What you build will shape how the entire company makes decisions - from content investment to marketing spend to platform strategy. When you bring a finding to light, it gets acted on. Our CMO wants to be taught, not just served. Our CFO presents analytical models directly to the board. Your work will shape what Minno does, not sit in a reporting system nobody reads.

About Minno

Minno is a Nashville-based global media company serving Christian kids and families through:

  • Minno Kids: Our flagship ad-free streaming platform experiencing triple-digit growth
  • Minno Originals: Award-winning original programming including "Laugh and Grow Bible for Kids" and "Young David"
  • YouTube channel: The fastest-growing Christian kids' channels with triple-digit year-over-year growth
  • Minno Press: Our successful publishing unit behind bestselling children's titles, including the award-winning "Minno Laugh & Grow Bible for Kids."

Our leadership team includes industry veterans from Amazon, PBS KIDS, Duolingo, Disney, DreamWorks Animation, and other major entertainment brands. Following our recent Series A funding, we're well-capitalized for aggressive growth and innovation.

We strive to be the leading voice globally for using media to spark kids' imaginations and curiosity about God and the Bible. We connect families through media that create shared faith experiences, support parents and grownups, and pave the way for enduring spiritual growth in children.

Minno uniquely differentiates itself by promising:

  • Experiential Excellence: Top-tier quality that changes expectations and raises the bar for Christian content.
  • Safe Entertaining Christian Content: Kid-friendly, entertaining, engaging, age-appropriate, and Biblically aligned content.
  • Practical Faith Support: Resources that cultivate faith, invite conversation, and foster spiritual growth.
  • Values the Global Church: Honoring the diversity of the global church and people as image bearers of God.

As a public benefit corporation, Minno is committed to helping kids and their families experience Jesus every day through media and technology. This mission drives everything we do.

Position Overview

Minno is seeking a strategic, hands-on Head of Analytics to build and own the company's first embedded analytics function. This is a highly visible role at a pivotal stage of the company, with data integrity issues across 40+ sources, untrusted dashboards, and no unified analytics infrastructure - while the business accelerates toward Series B fundraising, launches new content formats, and expands across third-party platforms.

The Head of Analytics will be responsible for establishing data ground truth, building content analytics capabilities that don't exist today, creating investor-grade subscription metrics, and powering marketing attribution across constrained platform environments.

The ideal candidate brings deep subscription analytics expertise, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to operate as a proactive strategic partner to six C-suite stakeholders simultaneously - without a team beneath them.

Impact and Opportunity

In this role, you will:

  • Build the analytical foundation of a mission-driven media company at the moment it matters most - when fragmented data must become unified intelligence that drives every major decision.
  • Serve as the analytical backbone for the entire executive team, unlocking content intelligence, marketing attribution, and member behavior insights that directly shape strategy.
  • Create the investor-grade analytics infrastructure - cohort retention curves, LTV models, subscriber waterfalls, Burn Multiple, Rule of 40 - that makes Minno's Series B story provable.
  • Partner directly with the CEO, CFO, CMO, CCO, CTO, and CPO to establish a proactive analytical dialogue where insights drive decisions, not just document them.
  • Build analytics frameworks for new business models - audio, ecommerce, institutional markets - ensuring every new initiative is instrumented and measurable from day one.

Join us at a pivotal moment as we scale toward $100M ARR and sustainable profitability. Work alongside a passionate team of technologists, educators, and content creators, all united by the mission of bringing Jesus into everyday family life through media.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and own Minno's analytics foundation—all Tableau dashboards, the company data dictionary, and board-level KPI reporting
  • Deliver content intelligence that guides investment, licensing, and programming decisions through repeatable analytics frameworks
  • Build investor-grade analytics infrastructure including cohort retention curves, LTV models, Burn Multiple, Rule of 40, and subscriber waterfalls
  • Own marketing attribution across direct-to-consumer and third-party distribution channels with clear visibility into CAC and LTV
  • Drive member lifecycle and behavioral intelligence that informs product prioritization and retention strategy
  • Operate as a proactive strategic partner to the executive team—bring insights before they're requested and teach the team to be better consumers of data
  • Lead Minno's AI analytics strategy and ensure every new business model and content format is instrumented before launch
  • Establish a data audit process and publish a company-wide data dictionary covering all core KPIs
  • Automate recurring reporting cadences—member roll-forward, weekly business reviews, and board KPI reports
  • Build extensible analytics frameworks that travel with the business as it expands into new formats and markets

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related function with demonstrated progression in scope and responsibility
  • Experience in a direct-to-consumer subscription business - SVOD/OTT streaming preferred; strong consumer app or DTC subscription experience at meaningful scale acceptable
  • Advanced SQL proficiency - able to independently query, join, and transform data from complex, multi-source environments without engineering support
  • Fluency in Tableau or comparable BI tool - has built dashboards from scratch, not just maintained existing ones
  • Demonstrated experience building an analytics function or owning analytics end-to-end as the primary analyst in a company with fewer than 150 employees
  • Experience with third-party platform distribution analytics - Amazon Prime, Roku, Apple, or comparable platforms where member-level data is constrained and indirect
  • Strong AI fluency - actively uses AI tools in analytical workflow with a clear point of view on where AI adds the most value
  • Exceptional communication skills - can translate complex data into clear narratives that drive decisions in the boardroom
  • Proactive, ownership mindset - brings insights before being asked and operates independently without a roadmap
  • Genuine alignment with Minno's Christian mission and enthusiasm for the audience we serve

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in media, streaming, or multi-format content analytics - completion rates, rewatch, CPAM, session data, content ROI
  • Familiarity with investor-grade subscription metrics - cohort retention curves, LTV by acquisition vintage, subscriber waterfalls, Burn Multiple, Rule of 40
  • Proficiency in Python or R for data manipulation, modeling, or automation
  • Experience with GA4, AppsFlyer, Amplitude, Mixpanel, or similar marketing and product analytics tools
  • Familiarity with dbt or data modeling and transformation tools
  • Experience with Snowflake or comparable cloud data warehouse
  • Hands-on experience with multi-touch marketing attribution modeling in a subscription context
  • Experience working alongside or transitioning away from an external analytics consultant
  • Background in faith-based, family, or children's media
  • Familiarity with COPPA compliance and analytics constraints in children's platforms

Our Values

  • Biased towards Action: We take the initiative and make decisions quickly.
  • Curious, not Content: We are eager to learn and innovate.
  • Grit & Resilience: We persevere and follow through on our commitments.
  • Rigorous Intentionality: We pay attention to details and understand the "why" behind our work.
  • Think like Owners: We are resourceful and take wise risks.
  • Mutual Blessing: We operate generously on behalf of others.
  • Trust Builders: We gain confidence through honesty, integrity, and authenticity.
  • Adapt & Flex: We operate effectively in uncertain situations.

Location

Nashville, TN preferred. Open to remote for the right candidate, with regular travel to Nashville for quarterly planning and team collaboration.

  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience.
  • Performance-based bonus.
