Role Summary and Impact
Openmind, part of WPP, is an integrated agency model drawing on talent from across WPP. It has been created to accelerate the European transformation for Nestlé’s media function. Core to the solution is the advanced best data and technology capabilities, fuelled by WPP’s investment in AI, to maximise the impact of Nestlé media investment.
As the Associate Manager for Performance (Search), you will be the strategic lead for our paid search practice. You will be responsible for guiding a large portfolio of brands, managing complex campaigns from start to finish, and mentoring a team of specialists. Your primary focus will be on driving tangible business outcomes through relentless, data-driven optimization.
Your core responsibilities will include:
- Leading paid search strategies on Google Ads to achieve branding and performance objectives.
- Managing a large campaign portfolio end-to-end, ensuring execution, budget adherence, and strategic alignment.
- Serving as the primary contact for all search projects, effectively managing timelines, deliverables, and client communication.
- Promoting a culture of continuous optimization by testing and refining campaigns to exceed revenue and ROAS targets.
- Conducting performance analysis, rapidly processing data to extract key insights and presenting strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Mentoring junior team members, supporting their growth while maintaining high-quality work standards.
- Adapting to changing local and regional KPIs to ensure ongoing campaign effectiveness and growth.
Skills and Experience
- A Bachelor’s degree in Media & Advertising, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3-4+ years of experience in performance marketing, preferably in a media agency.
- Expert-level proficiency with Google Ads, including value-based bidding strategies, advanced targeting, and various ad formats.
- A proven track record in managing campaigns and optimizing for business KPIs like revenue and ROAS.
- Strong project management skills, effectively handling numerous campaigns and demanding stakeholders.
- Experience in mentoring or leading junior team members is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills, proficient in Google Analytics and data processing.
- Knowledge of website analytics, conversion tracking, and tag management systems (e.g., Google Tag Manager) is a plus.
- Familiarity with other biddable media platforms (such as Meta or TikTok) or Search Ads 360 is an asset.
