Mechanical Development Engineer [26074]

As a member of a team providing services to Ariane Group, you will have the following responsibility:

• Creation of finite element models (ANSYS / NASTRAN) for mechanical analyses based on CAD geometry, material / fluid properties and/or requirements from specifications;
• Thermomechanical analyses of engine and propulsion components, including justification against static & dynamic loads as well as fatigue and damage tolerance;
•  Model validation based on test data or heritage;
•  Assessment of the required analyses and derivation of proposals for design optimization
• Documentation of results
• Presentation in front of the customer, e.g. within design reviews

You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or comparable technical qualification (aerospace preferred)
• Minimum 2 years experience in aerospace industry
• Experience in structural mechanics (metal), ideally at Airbus
• Experience in operations or technical documentation
• Knowledge in robustness, dynamics, fatigue, and damage‑tolerance analysis
• Strong understanding of structural mechanics and thermomechanical simulation methods
• Proficient in MS Office
• Knowledge of Nastran and experience with ANSYS
• Programming skills in Fortran, Python, and C++
• Team player with excellent communication skills
• Strong service and customer orientation, high sense of responsibility
• High assertiveness
• Fluency in English and German is mandatory; knowledge of French and another European language is an advantage.
