Responsibilities Industrial Systems Engineer – Semiconductor Operations Location: Santa Rosa, CA Work Mode: Onsite Role Type: Expert Individual Contributor (non people manager) Position Summary We are seeking an Industrial Systems Engineering to lead the end to end factory performance across HFTC semiconductor operations, with explicit accountability for Capacity, OEE, and Flow optimization across the full HFTC ecosystem. This role is a hands on technical leader who partners closely with Operations, Process Engineering, Equipment Engineering, Planning/Supply Chain, and Business IT/OT to translate business demand into measurable improvements in throughput, cycle time, delivery predictability, and cost. This is a non people manager role with strong expectations for technical leadership, mentorship, and cross functional program execution. Key Responsibilities A. End to End Capacity Ownership Develop, maintain, and continuously improve HFTC end to end capacity models and scenario analyses (short, mid, and long range). Identify and quantify bottlenecks and constraints; recommend actions across loading, rebalancing, staffing, operating changes, or capital with clear tradeoffs. Partner with planning and operations to align demand, starts, and delivery commitments to realistic capacity and execution plans. Provide data driven justification for capital investment decisions, including timing, risk, and expected impact. B. OEE, Productivity, and Flow Optimization Define and standardize OEE and tool productivity metrics; lead loss tree and root cause analysis. Drive tool productivity improvement programs with measurable and sustained outcomes. Apply Theory of Constraints and variability reduction to stabilize flow, reduce WIP, and improve cycle time. Validate that improvements translate into real, sustained factory performance. C. Industrial Systems & Analytics Own IE systems including capacity modeling, scheduling logic, forecasting, and standardized reporting. Partner with OT/IT to define requirements, document use cases and validate system enhancements. Ensure analytics and dashboards support predictable execution and decision making. D. Technical Leadership & Program Governance Lead the IE roadmap across capacity, OEE, and optimization with clear scopes, milestones, and measurable outcomes. Drive cross functional alignment and execution cadence to convert analysis into sustained results. Mentor industrial engineers; develop standard operating procedures, templates, and best known methods. Qualifications Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Industrial & Systems Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Research, or related field. 8+ years experience in industrial engineering, factory systems, or manufacturing analytics in semiconductor manufacturing or similarly complex manufacturing environments. Demonstrated expertise owning capacity modeling, constraint management, OEE/tool productivity improvement, and end to end flow/cycle time optimization. Proven ability to influence across organizations, resolve tradeoffs, and communicate technical results clearly to drive execution. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Systems Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline. Experience designing or improving factory scheduling/dispatch systems and translating system changes into measurable operational outcomes. Lean / Six Sigma certification or equivalent structured problem solving track record. Experience standardizing IE methods and reporting frameworks across organizations or sites. Preferred Tools & Technical Skills Power BI — dashboards, operational analytics, performance storytelling SQL — data extraction, transformation, and repeatable analysis JMP or equivalent statistical tools — DOE, regression, variability reduction Python — automation, modeling, analytics pipelines, scenario simulation Discrete event simulation tools (FlexSim, Simul8, Etc.) — capacity, flow, and WIP modeling Advanced Excel — modeling, scenario analysis, structured problem solving The role will be based at our HQ in Santa Rosa, CA. Candidates must be local or willing to relocate to Santa Rosa area. This position requires access to certain goods, software, technology, or technical data subject to U.S. export control laws and regulations.
