Rush Truck Centres of Canada is a part of the largest commercial vehicle dealership group, Rush Enterprises, in North America. We represent a wide range of industry-leading truck and trailer brands backed by parts, sales, service, collision repair, lease and rental support. With 15 locations in Ontario and almost 600 employees, we want the best and brightest dealership operations professionals to join our team. Reporting to the VP of Sales for the East Region, the New Truck Sales Manager is responsible for providing leadership in managing inventory and providing sales and customer guidance to support the eastern regions' New Truck Sales Reps, eastern locations and customers to promote a consistent and high level of service to meet or exceed customer expectations Responsibilities: Establish and communicate inventory control and sales guidelines. Maintain and distribute inventory listing, specifications, availability status, and expectant inventory. Direct staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control the sales program. Review market analysis to determine customer needs, volume potential, price schedule , and discount rates, and develop sales campaigns to accommodate the goals of the company within budget limitations. Plan and host customer events, attend trade shows and industry events Engage in industry-related associations Support sales staff in customer sales calls and presentations Create and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed sales goals Work with core suppliers to engage in customer activities Specify and order new trucks for inventory in accordance with management direction, overseeing the factory's pre-billing’ and invoicing paper stream for accuracy. Prepare budgets and develop profit goals. Analyze and control expenditures of the division to conform to budgetary requirements. Basic Qualifications: Post-secondary education: College or University Diploma/Degree preferred, but not required. Minimum of 5 years of sales management experience. Previous automotive or transportation experience preferred. Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written). Bilingual Preferred (French/English). Customer service experience coupled with a strong organizational and time management skillset. Proficiency with computers, including a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Valid driver’s license; insurability with the Company’s insurance carrier.
