Job description

The VEA Training Specialist will be responsible for  the design and delivery of all curriculum components as well as determining cadence for assessments to boost knowledge retention. As the team grows, the Training Specialist will partner with our team of trainers delivering instructor lead training and coaching.  The Training Specialist will work closely with management and subject matter experts to identify training needs and map out development plans for the various VEA roles. The Training Specialist will also own and coordinate the VEA program new hire onboarding process, including licensing training, sales training, and coordination with our internal partners for our monthly/bi-monthly hiring classes.

Responsibilities:

  • Create, maintain and execute new hire training programs for each of the VEA and management roles
  • Oversee training logistics, setup and delivery
  • Work with external training and licensing vendors
  • Identify training needs on an ongoing basis by evaluating the strengths and weaknesses of current VEAs
  • Develop feedback and coaching program to increase employee retention and performance across all VEA roles
  • Work with VEA Management to ensure individual performance metrics are being achieved
  • Conduct training opportunities based on the needs of the programs
  • Coordinate with our internal business partners for product training and demos
  • Continually review and refine training content, facilitator guides and collateral to ensure training materials are up to date; develop a maintenance approach and manage approvals for content changes
  • Assist with professional development and continuing education on an on-going basis
  • Develop a learning path and corresponding curriculum for all VEA roles
  • Market available training to employees and provide necessary information about sessions
  • Stay up-to-date on new VEA initiatives to enhance training sessions and update methods and techniques used
  • Maintain and manage the AEM publishing platform
  • Maintain and manage Red Oak platform
  • Gather feedback from management and VEAs through internal survey tools after each educational session to analyze progress and prepare for future training sessions
  • Work with VEA Management to create metrics and reporting to understand training inconsistencies and evaluate curriculum components

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum 8+ years of experience in coordinating multiple training events in a corporate setting
  • Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint
  • Possess strong communication and presentation skills along with advanced organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple assignments and deliver them to an audience
  • Demonstrate personal agility in navigating complex situations and day-to-day challenges
  • Effectively communicate value of change, provide coaching and resources to facilitate new behavior
  • Proven ability to employ cross-platform experience in all aspects of a blended learning program
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter, must be able to work independently, be flexible and detail-oriented
  • Be authorized to work in the US without durational restrictions
  • Successfully complete background checks and pre-employment assessments

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $90,000 and $190,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
