We are seeking a talented individual to join our Product Development  team Marsh Risk Technology This role will be based in Cluj Napoca.

This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

As .NET Production Support Developer (1st Level) - Shift Ready @MarshTech you will provide first-level production support for .NET-based applications, acting as a bridge between development and DevOps. You will triage and resolve quick production issues, perform lightweight maintenance, and coordinate with engineering and operations to ensure service reliability, timely incident response, and alignment with Marsh IT strategy and the Affinity Management activities in France. This role may require rotating shifts for weekend/holiday coverage.

We will count on you to: 

  • Incident triage and first-line resolution

    • Quickly assess, diagnose, and resolve production issues in .NET applications, APIs, and services or escalate to DevOps/Engineering as needed;

    • Log, categorize, prioritize, and track incidents, ensuring timely updates to stakeholders and adherence to SLAs;

  • Quick fixes and maintenance

    • Implement safe, approved changes in production environments when appropriate and under defined change control;

    • Collaborate with DevOps to support deployments, hotfixes, and release activities; apply checklists and runbooks as required;

  • Monitoring and diagnostics

    • Monitor application health, logs, and metrics using standard tools (e.g., Application Insights, ELK/Elastic, logs, traces);

    • Reproduce issues in development/testing environments when feasible to aid root-cause analysis;

  • Collaboration and escalation

    • Serve as the liaison between developers and DevOps, ensuring clear communication of issues, impact, and remediation plans;

    • Coordinate with database, infrastructure, and security teams for cross-functional issues;

  • Documentation and knowledge sharing

    • Create and maintain runbooks, standard operating procedures, post-incident reports, and knowledge base articles;

    • Document issues, resolutions, workarounds, and changes for future reference;

  • Stakeholder communication

    • Provide regular status updates to technical and business stakeholders; translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences;

  • Compliance and best practices

    • Adhere to IT governance, security, and compliance requirements; participate in continuous improvement of production support processes;

What you need to have:  

  • 4-6 years experience in .NET development with production support exposure; strong problem-solving and debugging skills;

  • Technical skills:

    • Proficient in C#, ASP.NET, Web API, .NET Core, and experience with SQL Server (queries, stored procedures).

    • Familiarity with front-end basics and RESTful services; understanding of microservices;

    • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Git) and source control (Git);

    • Knowledge of cloud environments (preferably Azure) and basic DevOps practices;

    • Scripting ability (PowerShell or Bash) for automation and quick fixes;

    • Logging and monitoring tools (Application Insights, ELK, Splunk, etc.);

  • Communication and collaboration: excellent verbal and written communication in French (Level C1); ability to work with cross-functional teams and translate technical details for non-technical stakeholders.

  • English language skill (Level B2).

  • Education: BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Personal attributes: proactive, autonomous, resilient under pressure, and capable of adapting in a diverse technical environment.

What makes you stand out? 

  • ITSM/tools experience (ServiceNow, Jira, etc.) or incident management background;

  • Certifications in .NET, cloud (Azure/AWS), or DevOps;

  • Experience with containers (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes);

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and continuous improvement initiatives;

Work schedule

  • Rotating shifts to ensure weekend and holiday coverage.

  • Cross-time-zone collaboration as required.
