We are seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join our AR and Credit team where you will work from the Warsaw offices in a hybrid model to provide expertise on Credit Risk, seek for solutions to remove credit blocks and guide Sony’s sales teams and customers to create strong relationships.
As a key member of the function, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day credit risk, order’s releases, processing claims, dispute’s resolution, and avoiding bad debts in your region. Providing expert credit risk advice and resolving issues for Sony businesses and multiple entities, including consumer and B2B customers, will be part of your daily responsibilities. You will work on a range of tasks, but also projects ranging from customer-specific to optimising processes, and you will be required to build relationships across local Sales & Marketing Teams, Sony Platforms, our outsource partner, and dealers.

You will:
- Provide Expertise on Credit Risk Management to prevent bad debts and overall related general accounting (insurance, legal, etc).
- Deliver the local AR & Credit-related activities by applying technical finance expertise and people skills under the direct supervision of the Credit Manager.
- Assist the Credit Manager in finding alternative and cost-effective ways of managing credit risk. Work as a business partner with sales, customers and credit insurers bringing value add in decision-making, forward planning, and risk mitigation
- Be the first contact point for AR & Credit related issues in own portfolio.
- Ensure timely maintenance of all credit-related customer master data.
- Ensure due diligence of customers to be assigned is completed timely. Take all necessary actions to minimise the risk of overdue on assigned customers.
- Work jointly with the outsourced partner and Sales teams on overdue escalations
- Ensure timely review and controlled release of credit-blocked orders. Proactively work to improve efficiency and reduce overall workload, while ensuring credit risk is optimised and bad debts avoided
- Regularly review own portfolio in order to report protracted overdues to the credit insurance provider in a timely manner.
You will bring:
- Solid experience as an AR/Credit Analyst or Controller in a large commercial organization
- Exposure to credit insurance and risk management
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
- Highly organised and resilient to challenges from Business Areas / Customers
- Fluent English (German is an asset)
