Avio Aero as a part of a GE Aviation Business is the leading company in the aeronautic business sector for the design, manufacturing and maintenance of components and systems for civil and military aero engines. We offer an opportunity of development in our Design Engineering Center team located in Bielsko-Biała plant!

In the role of Mechanical Engineer: stress analysis , you will be a part of Advanced Technology Operations team supporting the development of aircraft engine components by coordinating technical activities and making product development decisions based on available data and in line with customer and organizational requirements.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Conceptual or theoretical activities related to the principles of engineering, physics, and materials science for the design, analysis, manufacturing, and maintenance of mechanical systems. Includes the analysis of static (structural) and dynamic (rotordynamics, vibrations) behaviour of mechanical systems
  • Broadening knowledge of own technical discipline to execute policy/strategy. May include support roles with specialized technical field of knowledge; still acquiring higher level knowledge and skills.
  • Basic understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. Good understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
  • May have some autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework. Resolves issues in situations that require good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures. Consults more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.

Required Qualifications

  • Understanding of strength of materials and computational methods (FEM), including fatigue analysis, crack propagation and modal analysis

  • Fluent command of English and Polish

  • Prior experience in Ansys APDL, Hyperworks suite

  • Familiarity with new product development processes, preferably in the aviation industry

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T

  • Communication and presentation skills

  • Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required
