Job Description Summary
The ABAC Compliance Manager is responsible for the implementation, execution, and continuous improvement of a best-in-class Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption (ABAC) compliance program across a complex, multinational energy enterprise operating in high-risk jurisdictions. This role reports to ABAC Compliance Executive Director, and ensures that the ABAC processes, controls, and procedures are executed consistently, accurately, and in alignment with established policies and regulatory expectations all while enabling responsible business growth.In addition to operational delivery, the role is accountable for the continuous improvement of ABAC program (including Conflicts of Interest, third party management and gifts/hospitality). This includes gathering and assessing feedback from business users and stakeholders, identifying inefficiencies or control gaps, and independently driving enhancements to strengthen effectiveness, scalability, and user experience, in alignment with program strategy and risk direction.
Job Description
Your Responsibilities
ABAC Program Execution & Process Ownership
Execute ABAC compliance processes in accordance with approved policies, standards, and procedures, ensuring consistent and high-quality outcomes. (Conflict of Interests, gifts & entertainment etc.)
As the ABAC process owner, ensure controls operate as designed and support effective risk mitigation; identify execution issues and escalate material risks as appropriate.
Process & Control Enhancement
Drive continuous improvement of ABAC processes and controls, informed by user feedback, operational data, audit findings, and regulatory expectations.
Identify inefficiencies, gaps, or control weaknesses and design practical enhancements within established risk and governance guardrails.
Partner with Digital Technology, Sourcing and Commercial teams to refine workflows, improve system enablement, and reduce manual touchpoints.
Third-Party Management
Lead the integration of ABAC controls into third-party management processes, partnering closely with Digital Technology, Commercial, and Sourcing to ensure seamless, risk-based execution.
Drive operational readiness and enterprise adoption of automated workflows and system-enabled controls, ensuring consistent and effective implementation across global operations.
Act as a key operational lead and escalation point for ABAC-related third-party management matters, providing timely guidance and issue resolution across stakeholders.
Oversee the review, escalation, and resolution of due diligence findings in accordance with established procedures.
Conflicts of Interest (COI) Operations
Support administration and maintenance of the COI process, tools, and supporting procedures.
Perform COI disclosure reviews in partnership with Legal, HR, and business stakeholders and track resolution to closure.
Monitor recurring themes and systemic issues and propose process or control improvements.
Reporting, Metrics & Audit
Lead the design and implementation of operational reporting and metrics for ABAC activities, enabling effective monitoring of process performance, control execution, and remediation progress.
Analyze data to identify trends, emerging risks, and process inefficiencies, and proactively escalate actionable insights to senior stakeholders.
Perform COI disclosure reviews in partnership with Legal, HR, and business stakeholders and track resolution to closure.
Other Compliance Support
Partner with the training leader to develop relevant training on ABAC processes, tools, and control expectations.
Provide flexible, risk-based support across the wider Compliance function, contributing to enterprise initiatives beyond ABAC as business needs evolve.
Collaborate with other compliance domains (e.g., trade controls, business operations, training and communications, and ethics & investigations) to ensure aligned, consistent approaches to risk management and control execution.
Assist in crisis response and sensitive matters requiring coordinated compliance engagement across multiple risk areas.
Share best practices and lessons learned to strengthen the overall compliance framework and promote a unified culture of integrity.
Qualifications & Experience
A bachelor’s degree in law, accounting, or other relevant degree, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in ABAC compliance, third-party risk management, compliance operations, related risk or audit function.
Strong understanding of third-party risk management frameworks, due diligence practices, and control execution.
Experience operating in complex, multi-system, global environments.
Proven ability to manage operational processes and small teams, with a focus on execution, control, and continuous improvement.
Strong organizational, analytical, and stakeholder coordination skills.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $176,300.00 and $293,800.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
