What you'll get to do
A Master Planner plays a crucial role in managing and overseeing an organization's production planning to ensure efficient use of resources and meet business objectives. Here are some key responsibilities and qualifications for a Master Planner:
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement master production schedules (MPS) to meet customer demands and company objectives.
- Coordinate with various departments (sales, production, purchasing) to forecast and plan production.
- Analyze and monitor demand and supply trends, making necessary adjustments to the plan.
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks in the production process.
- Optimize resource allocation to ensure maximum efficiency and minimum downtime.
- Manage inventory levels to ensure adequate stock and reduce excess.
- Prepare and present regular reports on the performance of the master plan.
- Ensure compliance with legal regulations and company policies.
- Create, Roll Out & Maintain SOP (Standard Operating Processes) initiative for the Planning department.
- Gather and coordinate KPI metrics for Weekly/Monthly meetings.
What we're looking for
- Education: Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in production planning, inventory management, or a related field.
- Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to analyze forecast demand and manage data, proficiency in ERP systems, excellent communication and coordination abilities, proficiency in Excel, and attention to detail.
