System Administrator for T-Cloud Public

We run Open Telekom Cloud! Open Telekom Cloud is a public cloud standard product based on open source community software and driven by principles of DevSecOps. Purpose

As a System Administrator  you understand the latest developments in Linux and cloud technology. You will operate and enhance our Open Telekom Cloud platform in a customer-oriented manner.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

• Solve complex problems in the daily operation of a hyper-scaler's cloud backend.

• Install and configure software and hardware.

• Manage network devices.

• Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements.

• Troubleshoot issues.

• Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls.

• Consistently automate with common automation frameworks.

• Work in a team of specialists where everyone helps each other in an open and trusting manner. 

YOU WILL SUCCEED IF YOU:

• Completed studies in a technical, engineering or scientific subject or comparable professional training.
• Have professional experience in IT with a focus on modern cloud technologies.
• Have experience in Linux, Bash and network related services.
• Have knowledge of physical and virtual networks, routing and firewalls.
• Have knowledge in infrastructure automation.
• Have high level of customer focus.
• Knowledge of agile development processes is a plus.
• Speak English (B2 level)
• You will be working in the European Union to meet our customers' data security and privacy requirements.

Possible specialization

• Participation  on on-call duties, independent solving and troubleshooting of incidents and errors within defined expertise.

Must have at least 1 year of experience with:

• Linux and HW/SW overview (Basic)
• IT Asset Management 
• Network - Security Management and Operations
• Storage & Backup Operations 
• Troubleshooting Network Problems

• Software Installation and Support 
• Infrastructure Platforms for IoT and Cloud

Salary

Final salary is negotiable.

We are offering base salary depending on seniority level and previous experience of candidate. In addition to base salary we provide variable part and other financial benefits. Base salary will not be lower than 1150€ /brutto.
