Job description

Role Summary:

The Warehouse Manager will oversee our warehouse operations (Shipping, Receiving and Stockroom) for our Automation & Control Valve business unit, ensuring efficient and accurate handling of inventory, materials, and finished product. The Warehouse Manager will play a critical role in maintaining a smooth supply chain, minimizing costs, and maximizing productivity in this site.

Location: Springville, UT

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Shipping, Receiving, Stockroom areas.
  • Implement and maintain optimal warehouse layout and organization, ensuring efficient materials flow and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Direct and supervise warehouse staff, providing training, guidance, and performance management to foster a high-performing team.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor inventory management strategies, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping processes, to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
  • Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, such as Oracle, to track inventory levels, manage orders, and generate reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, production, sales, and logistics, to optimize inventory levels, reduce lead times, and enhance overall supply chain efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with Flowserve’s safety policies and regulations, equipment maintenance, and quality control standards within the warehouse environment.
  • Analyze and interpret key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions to drive continuous improvement.
  • Negotiate with vendors, carriers, and third-party logistics providers to secure competitive rates and service level agreements.
  • Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives, such as 5S, lean methodologies, and six sigma, to enhance warehouse efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Manage budget, including equipment, technology, and personnel, to optimize warehouse operating costs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a warehouse management or supply chain role, preferably within the industrial or manufacturing sector.
  • Thorough knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and supply chain principles.
  • Demonstrated expertise in utilizing WMS and ERP software, preferably Oracle.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate and motivate cross-functional teams.
  • Solid understanding of lean supply chain concepts and methodologies.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
  • Commitment to safety, with a proven track record of promoting a culture of safety within the warehouse.

Preferred:

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CLTD, CPIM, or CSCP) are a plus
  • Proficiency in data analysis and business intelligence tools to drive decision-making and continuous improvement.
