Position Summary...

What you'll do...

Do you love digging into data, eliminating waste, and making complex operations run more smoothly every day? In this role, you’ll be at the heart of our Distribution Center, driving process improvements through the Walmart Performance System (WPS) to reduce losses and boost performance. You’ll partner closely with operations leaders and associates to standardize “One Best Way” processes and build a culture of continuous improvement.
What You’ll Do
  • Lead process improvement initiatives within your functional area using tools such as 5S, root cause analysis, Six Sigma, and time and motion studies to eliminate losses and drive operational excellence.
  • Deliver results by analyzing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), identifying loss drivers, and creating standard work to reduce variation and improve consistency across processes.
  • Apply network “One Best Way” playbooks, provide feedback to Divisional Focused Improvement Teams, and support replication of best practices across facilities.
  • Support the tactical deployment of the WPS methodology, managing the execution of top-loss projects and helping area managers and associates build WPS capability.
  • Conduct area loss profile analysis, develop gap analyses, and support WPS integration to enhance performance metrics and operational outcomes.
  • Partner with Department and Area Managers on WPS projects, associate engagement activities, and KPI improvement plans within the process area.
You’ll sweep us off our feet if you…
  • Have strong experience in operations, process improvement, or distribution/warehouse environments, with a track record of leading successful improvement initiatives.
  • Are comfortable using data and KPIs to identify opportunities and measure impact.
  • Have experience with tools like Power BI, Tableau, Python.
  • Are skilled in continuous improvement methodologies (for example, Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, root cause analysis).
  • Excel at collaborating and influencing across all levels—associates, area managers, and cross-functional partners—to drive change and sustain new ways of working.
  • Enjoy coaching, mentoring, and developing others, and know how to engage teams in problem-solving and continuous improvement.
  • Are highly organized, adaptable, and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.
