Job description

Job Title: Senior Application Developer/Programmer

Location: Baltimore, MD(Onsite)

Duration: Up to 3 Years

Job Descriptions

Code Analysis and Review

  • Conduct in‑depth analysis of application code to identify logic errors, inefficiencies,
  • security vulnerabilities, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Evaluate code for readability, maintainability, scalability, and overall architectural soundness.
  • Review adherence to coding standards, best practices, and organizational development guidelines.
  • Provide detailed feedback and recommendations to development teams based on findings.

Debugging and Troubleshooting

  • Diagnose, isolate, and resolve defects within application code
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand the problem areas and provide solutions.
  • Reproduce and document issues, ensuring clear communication of root cause and corrective actions.

Code Optimization

  • Identify opportunities to optimize front‑end and back‑end code to improve user
  • interface performance, system responsiveness, and overall stability.
  • Recommend enhancements that increase application scalability, accessibility compliance, and throughput.
  • Refactor existing code to improve efficiency without altering functional behavior.
  • Conduct performance testing and analyze metrics to validate optimization efforts.

Documentation

  • Create thorough technical documentation outlining code analysis results, identified issues, and recommended remediation steps.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all code changes, improvements, and testing outcomes.
  • Develop and update technical reference materials, architectural diagrams, and process documentation supporting ongoing system maintenance.
  • Ensure documentation meets internal standards and is accessible to all relevant stakeholders.

Coding and implementing

  • Deploy updated or newly developed code into testing environments and verify successful execution of intended functionality.
  • Implement code modifications required to comply with state and federal regulatory requirements, accessibility standards, and agency policies.
  • Collaborate with QA teams to support test case execution and remediate any defects identified during the testing cycle.
  • Participate in version control processes, including branch management, code merges, and release preparation.

Experience

  • 5 years of experience designing, developing, testing, implementing, and maintaining applications and programs using C# within a .net framework.
  • Experience with MySQL, Writing and optimizing SQL queries, Integrating databases with applications. Developing and implementing database stored procedures and functions
  • It is preferred that the person is Web Accessibility Specialist (WAS) certified.

Education

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or other information technology related fields.
