Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Facility Security Officer, based in Arlington, VA. The Facility Security Officer will oversee and manage security operations according to government and organizational regulations, ensuring compliance with all applicable procedures. Responsibilities include conducting security briefings, managing personnel security clearances, handling classified materials, and maintaining detailed records. The individual will coordinate security processes, respond to security concerns, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the protection of organizational assets and information.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in security management practices, including compliance with government security standards and handling classified information
- Strong communication and organizational skills to effectively conduct security briefings, maintain records, and work collaboratively with internal and external parties
- Knowledge of security clearance processes and procedures
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to manage security concerns professionally and efficiently
- Experience in facilities operations or security roles in government or private organizations is preferred
- Familiarity with federal regulations, such as NISPOM (National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual)
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance are required
