Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Harness Manufacturing & Production Technician to support the assembly, integration, and testing of electrical wiring harnesses used in advanced satellite systems.This role is ideal for candidates with automotive wire harness, electrical assembly, or manufacturing experience (such as harness assembly, soldering, or crimping) who are interested in expanding their skills into the aerospace and satellite industry.
You will apply your hands-on technical experience to build high-reliability harness systems while learning aerospace-grade standards and processes.
$20-$23 Hourly - DOE
Work Schedule

Monday–Thursday, 7:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m. (4x10 schedule)

Essential Functions
Harness Assembly & Fabrication
- Cut, strip, crimp, and terminate wires and cables per work instructions and engineering drawings
- Assemble wire harnesses and cable assemblies using techniques common in automotive and aerospace manufacturing
- Perform soldering, splicing, connector installation, and harness routing
- Apply protective materials such as heat shrink, braiding, and insulation
Installation & Integration
- Route and secure harnesses on mechanical structures and assemblies
- Maintain proper wire routing, bend radius, and strain relief
- Support integration of harnesses into larger systems
Testing & Quality Control
- Perform continuity, resistance, and basic electrical testing using multimeters and related tools
- Conduct visual inspections to ensure quality and workmanship standards
- Identify and report defects, non-conformances, or inconsistencies
Documentation & Process Compliance
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, and assembly instructions
- Accurately complete production records, test results, and documentation
- Follow established manufacturing processes and quality procedures
Safety & Team Collaboration
- Follow all safety policies in compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Act
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams
Minimum Qualifications (Basic Qualifications)
- High school diploma or GED
- 0–2+ years of experience in:
- Wire harness assembly, OR
- Electrical/mechanical assembly, OR
- Manufacturing/production environment
- Basic ability to read work instructions or diagrams
- Manual dexterity and ability to work with small components
- Ability to perform physical requirements with or without reasonable accommodation
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in automotive wire harness manufacturing (e.g., SEWS environment)
- Experience with crimping, soldering, and connector assembly
- Familiarity with wiring diagrams, schematics, or blueprints
- IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification or willingness to obtain
- Experience in aerospace, defense, or high-reliability manufacturing
Training & Growth Opportunity

Physical Requirements

Compensation
Compensation is based on experience, skills, and internal equity. This role is eligible for overtime in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act.
