About Starlake, Our Work, and Areas of Concentration

Starlake Management Group (“Starlake”) is a new strategic management consulting firm. Built on the core principles of excellence, integrity, and true partnership, the firm seeks to form long-term relationships with client organizations in order to (i) inform their strategy, (ii) expand operational capacity, and (iii) identify and maximally capture emerging opportunities, including technological, demographic, economic, and geopolitical shifts.

The firm operates through a generalist orientation, with areas of concentration in Financial Services, Industrials and Manufacturing, Healthcare and Life Sciences, and Technology, Media, and Telecommunications (“TMT”) sectors.

Starlake was architected from the fount to establish a differentiated Partnership, defined by a distinct engagement model that harmonizes strategic advisory with client-side mobilization and program oversight, and a bespoke, first-principles approach to each and every client mandate.

The firm is in its nascency, having launched in FY25.

About the Senior Advisor Role

The Senior Advisor to Starlake, limited to no more than two professionals for the first 24 months, is a distinguished individual who serves as external counsel to the Partnership on matters of long-term strategy, practice-building, human capital strategy, client relationship development, and, where relevant, advising on emerging opportunities and frontier industries. The Senior Advisor group will selectively expand as the firm matures.

Concretely put, role responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Guiding the Partnership selectively on long-term strategy, capacity-building, and positioning
  • Providing counsel on client relationship development, mandate selection, geographic expansion, and engagement approach
  • Assessing and advising individuals of distinction being considered for the Partnership
  • Informing the firm on emerging sectors, opportunities, and other shifts that have strategic relevance
  • Evaluating and delivering judgment on mandates of particular consequence, including landmark engagements, partnerships, and large-scale research work

Qualifications

The role is best fit for professionals with

  • 10-15+ years of experience in a relevant sector, including management consulting, investment banking, private equity, corporate law, or technology (e.g., product management, product strategy, or ‘strategy and operations’ roles)
  • Deep knowledge and experience in at least one of the following capabilities: (i) corporate strategy and M&A, (ii) operations and operating model advisory, or (iii) emerging opportunities (including technology strategy) advisory, implementation, and/or research
  • Meaningful depth in at least two of the firm’s target sectors: (i) Financial Services, (ii) Healthcare and Life Sciences, (iii) Industrials and Manufacturing, and/or (iv) Technology
  • A proven track record of unperturbed character under pressure, and the ability to provide clear-eyed counsel on critical matters with discretion, integrity, and conviction
  • The ideal candidate will hold an entrepreneurial inclination, with a genuine investment in the long-term success and distinction of the Partnership

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree from a leading academic institution
  • Advanced degree (e.g., M.B.A., J.D., M.D., or equivalent degree) preferred
