As an Industrial Security Officer, you will collaborate with the Facility Security Officer (FSO) and the Industrial Security team to oversee classified activities within the US Public Sector.
This role involves ensuring compliance with the NISPOM and Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs) through various administrative responsibilities. You will lead security initiatives and implement measures to meet established government requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the corporate Facility Security Officer and the corporate team on complex initiatives.
- Assist in self-inspections and prepare for government audits of secured facilities. Identify security risks and suggest corrective actions.
- Develop and provide initial and ongoing security awareness training for cleared staff per NISPOM and customer specifications. Track and report completion rates.
- Prepare and deliver monthly written communications and quarterly updates in person for cleared personnel on relevant topics.
- Support the industrial security team with routine personnel and physical security tasks.
- Maintain security documentation and files in line with government standards.
What We Are Looking For
- Current TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is mandatory.
- Proven knowledge of NISPOM and ICDs 303, 703.
- Experience supporting the Intelligence Community.
- Familiarity with government systems such as NBIS, NISS, DISS.
- Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills to effectively engage with stakeholders.
- Highly detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to adapt in a dynamic environment.
- This position offers a hybrid work schedule with a required on-call rotation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Capability to provide security and IT troubleshooting support to engineering teams as needed.
- Experience in operating and maintaining an Insider Threat program.
Education/Experience
- 3+ years of experience in a CSSO/FSO role; ISSM/ISSO experience is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Industrial Security.
- Facility Security Officer certification: must already have or be able to obtain.
This role is open only to U.S. citizens (born or naturalized) without dual citizenship and requires a U.S. federal government Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) for a Moderate Public Trust position.
