JOB SUMMARY

General supervisory duties of the IVF lab supervisor include staffing, scheduling, yearly reviews and other personnel matters. The supervisor ensures staff provides high quality, accessible, cost-effective care and patient-focused services to members across the continuums, which comply with local, state and federal requirements. Implements and maintains clinical practice standards, clinical environmental standards and policies, budgets and staff development.

Must perform all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the hospital's policies and procedures, including its Service Standards and its Code of Conduct.
*This IVF Lab Supervisor role is hands-on, performing procedures with the IVF lab team and is responsible for the supervision of daily operations to ensure high-quality patient care.
*Provide oversight of IVF lab staffing, scheduling and other duties according to laboratory specifications.
*Administrative duties include management of inventories, ordering of supplies, general and preventative maintenance of the lab equipment.
*Responsible for orientation and onboarding of new team members in the IVF lab.
*Performs competency and staff performance evaluations.
*Troubleshooting and solving any issues that may arise in the IVF lab.
*Assists Lab Director in accreditation/certification and compliance activities.
*Other duties as delegated by the Lab Manager or Lab Director.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.
Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in a biologic field. Master’s degree in biological science preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 4 years’ experience in clinical embryology
License/Certification: Technical Supervisor (TS) certification by the American Board of Bioanalysis (ABB) preferred but not required.
KNOWLEDGE

- Knowledge and in-depth understanding of chemical, biological or clinical laboratory science and medical technology.
- Knowledge and proficiency in all clinical IVF procedures, including egg retrieval, sperm processing (including urologic specimens), intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), embryo biopsy, embryo and gamete cryopreservation and warming and embryo transfer.
- Knowledge of computer systems and software used in functional area.
- Knowledge of local, state and federal regulatory requirements related to areas of functional responsibility.
- Knowledge of new technologies (in specific field) and maintain and stay abreast of updates and changes.

Pay Range
Compensation is based on the level and requirements of the role.
Salary within our ranges may also be determined by your education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, and abilities, as required by the role, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
Typically, new team members join at the minimum to mid salary range.
Minimum to Midpoint Range (Hourly): $62.60 to $78.25
