Site Environmental Specialist - Air
Where will you work: You will be based at our New Wales site (3095 COUNTY ROAD 640 WEST | MULBERRY, FL 33860). This role is eligible to work a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off.
As our site Environmental Specialist at New Wales, you will partner with site operations to ensure environmental compliance in accordance with the Clean Air Act to help them meet their operational goals. Daily you will prepare and submit environmental reports, permit applications and correspondences to regulatory agencies. You will provide environmental support to facility to assure compliance with regulatory and corporate EHS requirements with a focus on air and waste activities. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to provide environmental education to the facility. You will thrive in this role if you enjoy interacting with and mentoring coworkers to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
What will you do?
Interpret data and communicate environmental issues to operations and environmental management
Provide recommendations to encourage environmental excellence throughout maintenance and operations
Perform inspections of plant areas to assure compliance with regulatory requirements
Conduct facility environmental testing and sampling in accordance with strict regulatory procedures
Provide expertise to implement new software and equipment to continue on-going environmental compliance
Troubleshoot and manage environmental field sampling data using an electronic database
Perform environmental assessments, permitting and environmental education for the facility
Partner with IT on development of automation solutions
What you’ll need:
Bachelor's degree is in a science related field
3+ years environmental experience or related field
Knowledge of State and Federal regulations and understanding of Agency requirements
Ability to effectively work with employees at all levels in the organization
Demonstrated problem solving skills
Capacity to adapt to a continually changing business and work environment and manage multiple priorities
Demonstrated ability to prepare regulatory reports using both standard and specialized online and desktop software
Ability to work in a manufacturing setting both indoors and outdoors
Solid organizational skills
