Job description
Work in close coordination with the Senior Accountant in Qatar in delivering support and excellence in the following areas.
1. Accounts Payable
- Process invoices from material suppliers, equipment hires, and service providers.
- Reconcile vendor and subcontractor accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Coordinate with site engineers, project managers, and procurement teams for invoice approvals.
- Process supplier and subcontractor payments.
- Track PDCs, advances and prepayments ensuring timely closure.
2. Job Cost Accounting
- Ensure proper allocation of costs to projects, sites, and cost codes.
- Capitalization of asset-related invoices.
- Maintain records for project-wise expenses and supporting documents.
- Assist in monthly closing activities and MIS preparation.
3. Statutory requirements
- Ensure compliance with WHT and audit requirements.
- Support internal and external audits.
4. Banking related matters
- Make timely payments via bank transfers, cheques, or WPS.
- Cash and Bank reconciliations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance
- 2–5 years of relevant experience preferably in construction or infrastructure projects.
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems.
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, financial models).
- High attention to detail and adherence to process.
- Strong follow-up, communication, and coordination skills
- Experience working with contracting, infrastructure, or real estate development companies.
