Civil Engineer

AECOM’s Water Business Line is seeking a Civil Engineer to join our Water group in the Phoenix, AZ office. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering. Your responsibilities will include the design of water and wastewater treatment, collection and distribution infrastructure. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong design skills and communication skills to support teams in a collaborative environment.

Job Description

• Assist in design and evaluation of water treatment plants and wastewater treatment plants.
• Develop engineering reports, calculations, and technical specifications.
• Prepare and review working drawings, plans, cost estimates, studies, reports, and other work products.
• Analyze water quality data and optimize treatment processes.
• Collaborate with clients, regulators, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Prepare proposals and support business development.
• Must be capable of performing independent tasks.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Minimum Requirements

• BS + 4 Years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency or experience and or education

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s in Civil Engineering or related field of study
• 7 years or more of relevant experience
• Professional Engineer in Arizona or ability to obtain within 6 months of work
• Demonstrated progressive experience in water and/or wastewater treatment.
