Position Summary

In your role as a Gas and Chemical Systems (GCS) Bulk Gas Engineering Section Lead (SL), you'll focus on leading an engineering team that comprehensively owns, maintains, supports, and improves bulk gas equipment and supply at Samsung.

You'll ensure engineering team's effective collaboration with operations and maintenance teams, as well as customer groups, to provide world-class equipment performance in the supply of gases supporting fab production.

You'll also be responsible for supporting the planning, construction, startup and commissioning of new equipment, as well as the development and execution of projects to improve safety, quality, and reliability.

Role and Responsibilities

Here's what you'll be responsible for:

• Leading and directing a small team of engineers •
• Performing as a primary authority and representative of bulk gas issues and matters to the site, including support for substantial commercial and technical negotiations with vendors and contractors •
• Leading and participating in safety initiatives, programs, and activities to drive world class safety performance •
• Providing technical expertise and ownership for gas systems, safety and quality standards, and improvements for those systems. •
• Ensuring collaboration with operations teams, maintenance teams, construction teams, and equipment/supply vendors to sustain and maintain equipment •
• Working with maintenance teams to plan and execute non-standard equipment maintenance to address failures or equipment improvements
• Communicateing and coordinating with Fab Engineering groups to provide technical support, supply issue resolution, and collaboration for improved safety, quality, and system reliability • Continually drive group culture toward greater learning, development, and overall job satisfaction

Skills and Qualifications

Here's what you'll need:

• BS degree in Mechanical or Chemical engineering, or related technical field. •

• 5+ year’s direct operations experience related to gas supply systems, or otherwise, equipment that utilizes gases and for processing.

• Prior experience with bulk gas supply (ex. ASU, cryogenic, etc.) is a plus. •

• Semiconductor or electronics facility support preferred, with an emphasis on safety and hazardous process materials. •

• Prior leadership and management of teams is preferred

Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
