Chemical Process Engineer

The Role:

• We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Industrial Engineer to lead and support continuous improvement initiatives across our manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in

• Supporting related functions such as production team, Process Engineering team in driving continuous improvement activities with respect to yield, capacity, reliability, quality, productivity, energy, cost effectiveness and optimizing production pricesses. 

• Working with related function teams to build and sustain safe, reliable and efficient operation of the process involving membrane, Liquid filter, Gas filter, injection molding components, Dispense Pump.  

• 生産チームやプロセスエンジニアリングチームなどの関連部門を支援し、歩留まり、生産能力、信頼性、品質、生産性、エネルギー効率、費用対効果の向上、および生産プロセスの最適化に向けた継続的改善活動を推進する。 

• 関連する機能チームと連携し、膜、液体フィルター、ガスフィルター、射出成形部品、ディスペンスポンプを含むプロセスの、安全かつ信頼性が高く効率的なオペレーションを構築・維持する。 

In this role you will: 

• Lead and implement process improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency.  

• Lead and facilitate annual cost saving activities across plant organization 

• Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and propose effective solutions. 

• Design and optimize factory layouts and workflows.  

• Develop and standardize work procedures and provide training to operators.  

• Support process design and implementation during the introduction of new equipment.  

• Monitor and improve KPIs related to Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery (SQCD).  

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive strategic projects. 

• Support Continuous Improvement team on various activities and trainings 

• Work with Product Management team and production team on capacity planning.

• 生産データを分析してボトルネックを特定し、効果的な解決策を提案する。

• 作業手順を策定・標準化し、オペレーターへのトレーニングを実施する。 

• 新しい設備の導入に際し、プロセスの設計および導入を支援する。 

• 安全、品質、コスト、納期（SQCD）に関連するKPIを監視し、改善する。 

• 部門横断的なチームと連携し、戦略的なプロジェクトを推進する。 

• 継続的改善（CI）チームの様々な活動や研修を支援する。 

• プロダクトマネジメント（PM）チームおよび製造チームと連携し、生産能力計画の策定を行う。

Traits we believe make a strong candidate: 

Required: 

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.  

• Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial engineering within a manufacturing environment.  

• Hands-on experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies.  

• Proficiency in industrial engineering tools such as time studies and line balancing.  

• Business-level proficiency in both Japanese and English (TOEIC score >500). 

• 産業工学、化学工学、機械工学、電気工学、または関連分野における学士号以上。 

• 製造現場における産業工学の分野で、3年以上の実務経験があること。  

• リーン生産方式、シックスシグマ、およびカイゼン手法の実務経験。 

• タイムスタディやラインバランシングなどの産業工学ツールに精通していること。 

• 日本語および英語のビジネスレベルでの運用能力（TOEICスコア500点以上） 

Preferred: 

• Experience working in global manufacturing environments.  

• Project management experience.  

• Working experience in Semiconductor or Pharmaceutical industry 

• Familiarity with data analysis tools such as Excel VBA or Power BI. 

• Experience Kaizen activities based on Toyota Production System 

• Six sigma Black Belt or Grenn Belt

• 半導体業界または製薬業界での実務経験 

• Excel VBAやPower BIなどのデータ分析ツールへの精通
