DevOps Engineer (Azure / .NET)

As an Azure Cloud / .NET DevOps Engineer, you will join a collaborative, high-performing team delivering end-to-end solutions within a critical Risk & Finance technology environment.

You will play a key role in designing, building, and operating scalable cloud-native applications while actively driving DevOps best practices, automation, and continuous improvement. Beyond technical excellence, you contribute to team maturity, engineering standards, and reliable delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud-based applications using Azure and .NET
• Build, optimize, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
• Take full ownership of applications, ensuring stability, performance, security, and compliance
• Deliver features collaboratively within a Scrum team, aligned with sprint goals
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and continuously improve production systems
• Actively contribute to DevOps culture, knowledge sharing, and team development
• Work closely with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into effective solutions

Customer & Business Focus:

• Understand and prioritize business and user needs, particularly in financial and risk-driven environments
• Proactively engage stakeholders and clarify functional and non-functional requirements
• Deliver robust solutions that generate measurable business value
• Continuously improve service quality, operational efficiency, and reliability

 

• 5+ years of experience as a .NET Developer and/or DevOps Engineer
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (certification is a plus)
• Proven experience within banking, financial services, or risk & finance domains (required)
• Solid understanding of designing scalable, secure, and maintainable systems
• Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Experience in international environments
• English & Dutch 
• Proactive, analytical, and solution-oriented attitude

Cloud & DevOps:

• Azure Cloud (App Services, Functions, Key Vault, Azure Active Directory)
• Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, YAML, Azure CLI
• Git version control

Backend Development:

• .NET Core / .NET 5+
• C#
• ASP.NET MVC & Web API
• REST APIs, Swagger
• Entity Framework (or similar ORM)

Architecture & Quality:

• OOP principles, SOLID, DDD, and design patterns
• SQL and relational databases
• OAuth, Azure App Registrations
• Unit testing, TDD, and mocking frameworks

Frontend & Scripting:

• JavaScript / TypeScript

Nice to Have:

• Experience with frontend frameworks (Angular, React, Vue, Blazor)
• Microservices architecture
• NoSQL databases (e.g. Cosmos DB, Neo4j)
• Knowledge of regulatory, compliance, or risk systems within financial institutions
