OVERVIEW
The Video Editing Intern will be a part of the CNBC Video Editing team in APAC that contributes to the output of quality live TV news programs watched by millions of viewers worldwide. You will receive training and guidance by experienced video editors on how to produce visual aids for the daily live TV news programs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Clip and edit video clips for daily live TV news programs, using the Grassvalley Edius editing tool
Perform audio mixings & colour corrections
Produce graphics and/or visual aids for TV news programs, e.g. text slate, Hotboards, courtesy and credit superimpose etc.
Edit videos, cut pictures and put together promotional packages, on ad-hoc basis
Compile and edit video segments to produce complete news bulletins for China Central Television (CCTV)
Ensure videos adhere to CNBC’s broadcast standards and are of highest quality for publishing across all platforms
Opportunities to learn:
how recordings of CNBC TV news programs are repurposed for various platforms – TV, Digital & Mobile
how to clip and edit selected segments of CNBC TV news recordings and feed video clips to affiliate channels
editing techniques for long form feature programs and/or on-air promotional videos
censorship editing
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
Proficient in and knowledge of non-linear editing tools such as Avid, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premier or Edius etc
Detail oriented, highly organized and excellent prioritization ability
Team player who can work independently and collaboratively with colleagues from different teams
An individual who takes initiative
A passion for broadcasting, media and content production
Ability to adapt to new environments and pick up new knowledge/skills quickly
Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills to interact with colleagues
Ability to work under pressure of live television broadcast environment
Flexibility in working shift hours
Able to commit to the internship from 18 September 2026 to 26 February 2027
