Position Overview
As Senior Supply Chain Manager at Diptyque Japan, you will lead the end-to-end supply chain function, ensuring optimal stock levels, high service performance, and an exceptional client experience across all channels (Retail, E-commerce, Wholesale).
This role acts as a strategic bridge between the Japan business and HQ in Paris, driving both operational excellence and business growth while preserving the brand’s DNA.
Key Responsibilities
1. End-to-End Supply Chain Leadership
- Oversee Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Logistics, Warehousing, and Inventory Management
- Lead the monthly S&OP process and strengthen alignment with Sales, Marketing, and Finance
- Ensure supply readiness for key commercial events (new launches, holiday seasons, etc.)
2. Demand & Supply Planning Excellence
- Build accurate forecasts based on sales trends, traffic, and key business drivers
- Optimize supply planning to minimize stockouts and overstock
- Collaborate with HQ to secure optimal product allocation
3. Inventory & Service Level Management
- Monitor and manage inventory levels (DOS, stock coverage, aging stock)
- Drive action plans to reduce obsolete and excess inventory
- Track and improve KPIs such as OTIF and fill rate
4. Logistics & Warehouse Operations
- Manage and monitor 3PL partners’ performance
- Ensure operational excellence in picking, packing, and gift wrapping processes
- Maintain operations aligned with Diptyque’s brand standards
5. Team Management
- Lead and develop Demand and Supply Planning team members
- Build a high-performing, collaborative team environment
- Support cross-functional decision-making through insights and analysis
6. Process Improvement & Projects
- Identify and implement process improvements
- Utilize BI tools (e.g., Tableau) for reporting and analysis
- Lead and support new projects and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements & Qualifications
Must Have
- Minimum 5 years of experience in supply chain, including demand and supply planning
- Team management or leadership experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced Excel skills
- Business-level English (frequent interaction with HQ)
- Native-level Japanese or equivalent business proficiency
Nice to Have
- Experience in luxury or retail industry
- Experience leading S&OP processes
- Experience with BI tools such as Tableau
