About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Engineering Geologist to join our growing team. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex and diverse projects while contributing to technical excellence, client satisfaction, and business growth.

As a Senior Engineering Geologist, you will apply your technical expertise and project management skills to deliver high-quality analysis and design outcomes across a range of projects. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, support business development efforts, and play a key role in building strong client relationships and enhancing market presence.

Note: The role can be based in Brisbane / Gold Coast / Sunshine Coast / Townsville / Cairns

Key accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

• Deliver analysis and design tasks in accordance with relevant technical standards and client requirements
• Collaborate proactively with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure quality, timeliness, and coordination of project deliverables
• Apply project management principles to achieve outcomes within scope, budget, and schedule
• Contribute to the commercial success of projects and support business development initiatives
• Manage project risks and oversee technical delivery on small to medium-sized projects
• Prepare high-quality technical reports and proposals
• Support and lead small teams, contributing to the development of junior staff

About You

You are a capable and driven Engineering Geologist with a solid technical foundation and the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple projects. You are confident working independently while also contributing to team success and client outcomes.

Suitable applicants will be/have:

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering or equivalent
• Relevant industry certification (CPEng, RPEQ – highly regarded)
• Approximately 6–8 years of professional industry experience
• Active involvement in industry bodies, publications, or professional activities
• Strong technical capability across a broad range of geotechnical and engineering geology projects
• Proven ability to manage risk and deliver cost-effective solutions
• Demonstrated experience leading small teams and mentoring others
• Strong client relationship management skills
• Excellent report writing and proposal development capability
• Effective time management and ability to meet deadlines across multiple projects
• Ability to quickly learn and apply new skills and knowledge
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to convey complex information clearly
• Sound understanding of relevant Australian Standards and specifications
• High level of computer literacy across industry software tools
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment
• Strong organisational skills and ability to work under pressure
