The hospital’s RN residency program is accredited by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as a Practice Transition Accreditation Program and Pathway to Excellence, ensuring high-quality training for nurses. Perform various tasks involving the operation of radiographic equipment and other devices. Calculate appropriate exposure factors and evaluate images for diagnostic quality. Assist Radiologists and other health care practitioners with invasive procedures. Explain procedures and observe patients to ensure safety and comfort during the exam. Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to comply with regulations and ensure patient/employee safety. Evaluate images for technical quality exposure and transmit them to PACS. Job Requirements: Technical or Associate’s radiography degree Must be registered or registry eligible with the ARRT BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
