Overview The CB&I Marketing & Communications summer intern is responsible for supporting the development and organization of the Corporate Marketing and Communications Function and works closely with their supervisor to follow clearly defined Marketing and Communications procedures. This role provides meaningful hands-on experience in content management, cross-functional collaboration, and real-world exposure to both marketing and technical environments. This position is an entry level role. The role directly reports to the Principal Communications Specialist and routinely interacts with the Corporate Marketing and Communications Team along with Cross-Functional Managers and their respective staff. Responsibilities Support the execution of core marketing and communications tools, processes, and workflows. Support social media management and content development initiatives across multi-media platforms. Assist with the planning and execution of marketing and communications campaigns. Participate in social media and communications meetings to learn tone, writing style, and strategic messaging. Assist with gathering, organizing, and managing digital assets, including photos, videos, and documents Learn and utilize Asset Bank software to build, organize, and maintain a centralized company photo library Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to collect visual assets and document required metadata and usage approvals. Develop and apply standardized naming and content management conventions for digital assets Retrieve, organize, and maintain files in Asana, SharePoint/Connect, and external drives to support active projects. Provide support for sustainability, community outreach, and internal communications initiatives as needed. Collaborate and assist members of the Marketing and Communications team with ongoing projects. Provide general project coordination, file organization, and administrative support. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required. Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university required Completed sophomore or junior year (or equivalent credits) preferred Pursuing a degree in - Communications, Journalism, or related fields Prior coursework in Communications, Journalism, or related fields is a plus Interest in digital asset management, marketing, or technical communication is preferred.
