Additional Information About the Role Daily Pay Available! Evelyn's House/ BJC Hospice provides clinical care for terminally ill adult and pediatric patients. We are looking for a compassionate candidate to work as a Floor Finisher/Housekeeper. Full time - 40 Hours a Week 11:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Rotating Holidays and Works Every Other Weekend Overview BJC Home Care offers patients and their families a complete range of home care services, including skilled nursing services, adult and pediatric hospice and supportive care, rehabilitation therapy, home infusion therapy, infusion treatment rooms, home medical equipment and high-tech respiratory care. Specialty home care programs also are available, including adult and pediatric asthma, cardiac, diabetes, orthopedic and wound care programs. BJC Home Care provides care to thousands of patients in both Missouri and Illinois. Serving more than 25 counties, it has become the largest home care network in the region and one of the largest in the country. Evelyn’s House is the newest addition to BJC Hospice and BJCs continuum of care for patients with life-limiting illness. Evelyn’s House staff are sensitive to the physical, psychosocial, emotional and spiritual needs of terminally ill adult and pediatric patients and their families. We provide a multi-disciplinary team of healthcare professionals and volunteers, specially trained in pain and symptom management, counseling, and bereavement services for the dying. BJC Hospice services include alternative therapies such as music, art and massage therapy. BJC Hospice programs provide palliative care by helping patients manage their pain and symptoms while living their lives with daily peace and dignity. Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose The Floor Finisher is responsible for cleaning and refinishing floors (buffing, stripping, waxing) on a regular basis, in accordance with standard procedures of the housekeeping department. May involve terminal cleaning of operating room suites. Responsibilities Performs floor care and project cleaning functions in assigned areas. Keeps equipment clean and functional according to procedures. Handles hazardous and infectious waste properly. Reports defects to supervisor. Responds to emergency spills according to procedure.
