Responsibilities The IBD Exempt RN is a 20-hour/week RN role that joins an existing multidisciplinary IBD team to support and enhance the IBD program. This RN role provides clinical support to both IBD physicians and two IBD Advanced Practice Providers, collaborating closely with another IBD Nurse, administrative, infusion, and others teams to deliver coordinated, high-quality care to the IBD patient population. Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to): Triage patient calls to assess symptoms, recent treatments, dietary changes, and new medications Apply nursing judgment to provide home-care guidance, determine urgency, and escalate concerns to providers Coordinate care for non-GI issues with appropriate providers Provide medication education and injection training as needed Assist with medication patient assistance applications and required clinical paperwork. Coordinate referrals, diagnostic testing, and consultations Support medication access, prior authorizations, and appeals when clinical input is required Collaborate with infusion services, financial counselors, external infusion providers, and specialty partners Requirements Education Requirements Must possess a high school diploma or GED. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited program (preferred). Associate Degree in Nursing with relevant experience will also be considered Licensure Requirements Current RN license with the State of Maryland Board of Nursing Certification Requirements CPR Healthcare Provider Certification Min USD $38.58/Hr. Max USD $69.44/Hr. Salary Information Compensation decisions are made in alignment with internal equity, role scope, and market data to ensure fair and consistent pay practices. Most new hires are typically placed within the lower to mid-portion of the range; offers above that level are reserved for candidates with advanced or highly specialized qualifications.
