Laboratory Technician / Courier (Tu-Sa Day Shift), Eurofins Aerotech Built Environment Testing, North Phoenix

Eurofins Built Environment Testing is seeking a Laboratory Technician / Courier to join our team!

The Laboratory Technician / Courier  supports laboratory operations by applying general laboratory techniques, equipment, and instrumentation in accordance with Eurofins Built Environment Testing’s Quality Assurance programs and standard procedures. The role includes maintaining laboratory and storage areas, equipment, and supplies. Additionally, the technician may handle courier duties such as picking up and delivering samples, receiving and signing Chain of Custody documentation, navigating to client sites using provided directions, and ensuring the courier vehicle is properly maintained, including organizing any necessary servicing or repairs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Performs laboratory support and sample preparation which may include, but is not limited to:

• Aliquot samples or reagents
• Preparation and QC of buffers and reagents including use of pH meter and autoclave.
• Prepare concentrations or dilutions.
• Sample filtration.
• Resolves discrepancies and anomalies to ensure samples are properly labeled.
• Prepares general laboratory documentation using Good Documentation Practices.
• Stock and rotate laboratory supplies, maintain sample storage and disposal.
• Cleans work area(s) to maintain a safe working environment.
• Assists other laboratory areas as needed.
• Verification of laboratory equipment to ensure proper functionality.
• Maintenance of stock cultures using sterile techniques.

 

  Courier responsibilities may include, but is not limited to, a combination of the following:

• Pick up and deliver samples to and from the laboratory.
• Receive and sign the Chain of Custody.
• Use directions or maps to locate client sites as specified.
• Maintain courier vehicle to keep in proper working order.
• Take vehicle in for service/ repair.

 

• High school diploma or equivalent
• High school Chemistry coursework, basic laboratory experience
• Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
• Authorization to work in the United States without restriction or sponsorship.
• Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English

Position is full-time, Tuesday through Saturday, 8:00am - 5:00pm with possible overtime and weekends as needed.

The compensation range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00 per hour depending on level of experience.

Eurofins Environment Testing (USA) provides a compensation range for informational purposes, the actual base compensation may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience and skill set, base compensation of internal peers, business sector, and geographic location.
