Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking a Principal Quality Analyst to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals at our Fort Worth, Texas facility where technology and teamwork come together. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Mission Assurance (MA) organization.

The successful candidate will:

  • Develop and implement program quality plans, processes, and procedures using statistical quality control statistics, lean manufacturing concepts, and six-sigma tools and analyses.
  • Ensure that performance and quality products conform to established company and regulatory standards
  • Review, analyze and report on quality discrepancies related to assembly, process, mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical systems
  • Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place
  • Participation in Risk Management process and support to team in identification of risks
  • Corrective action review and reporting to include monitoring status of corrective and preventive actions and tracking through closure, reviewing/analyzing defect data, monitoring test problem report data and closure status, monitoring causal analysis and resolution
  • Supports hardware control to Bill of Materials (BOM), First Article Inspections, close-out and delivery inspections and control of end item data packages
  • Interface with manufacturing, engineering, customer, supplier, and subcontractor representatives to ensure compliance with requirements.
  • Maintain liaison with manufacturing, engineering, material management, supplier, and customer personnel to resolve quality problems

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree 6 years of related professional/military experience that includes a background in aircraft, aerospace, or manufacturing industries OR a Master’s degree AND 4 years of related professional/military experience that includes a background in aircraft, aerospace, or manufacturing industries; OR 10 years of related professional/military experience that includes a background in aircraft, aerospace, or manufacturing industries in Lieu of a Degree
  • Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active Secret DoD clearance
  • Strong orientation to change in a dynamic and logistically challenging environment
  • Advanced level of understanding of complex quality policies, procedures, and governmental regulations
  • Ability to analyze alternative courses of action where decisions have risk/reward implications for program or area of influence
  • Proficiency in root cause and corrective action processes
  • A demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, globally, and to all levels of any organization
  • Strong understanding of the F-35 build process
  • Must have ability to work flexible schedule 1st or 2nd shift
  • Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Experience developing and implementing Program Quality Plans
  • Experience in utilizing Line check system
  • Ability to interpret Engineering Drawings
  • Proficiency in QMS auditing and Perform process audits
  • Exceptional presentation skills
  • The successful candidate will develop and implement program quality plans, processes, and procedures using statistical quality control statistics, lean manufacturing concepts, and six-sigma tools and analyses.
  • Ensure that performance, products, and services conform to established company, customer, and regulatory standards. Review, analyze, and report on quality discrepancies related to assembly, maintenance, and processes. Investigate problems and develop disposition and facilitate corrective actions for recurring discrepancies.
  • Review quality trend analyses and related quality performance and customer satisfaction data.
  • Maintains liaison with manufacturing, engineering, material management, supplier, and customer personnel to resolve quality problems.
  • Recommend corrective actions, dispositions, and modifications.
  • Interface with manufacturing, engineering, customer, supplier, and subcontractor representatives to ensure compliance with requirements.
  • Perform process audits

Primary Level Salary Range: $89,900.00 - $134,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
