The General Manager (‘GM’), Global Technology & Operations (‘GTO’) Canada oversees our Canadian Wealth, Retail Wealth and Capital Markets business activities, including customer implementations, new engagements, in-market product and marketing activities, and business operations.
The GM provides strategic direction, leadership and guidance across all functions from strategy, product, sales, marketing, client services, operations, development, HR and finance. The GM is a growth-oriented leader, ensuring that sales and revenue growth and profitability (i.e. EBIT) targets are achieved and building a scalable business to serve our clients and Canadian market.
The GM will align the vision and strategy to operational tactics and collaborate cross functionally with enterprise teams to achieve the business goals. The GM will build upon our very successful franchise aligned to overall strategic mandates of the organization to grow our business.
Strategic Leadership and Governance
- Set leadership direction to drive the GTO Canada business unit to achieve and exceed sales, revenue, profitability and business objectives.
- Define, execute, and operationalize strategies that support the growth, efficiency and service effectiveness of/for our Canadian business.
- Lead strategic initiatives, ensuring they completed on time, within scope, and aligned with target outcomes.
- Partner cross-functionally various business units, COEs, and corporate functions to ensure alignment and consistent execution.
Growth
- Actively engage with GTO Canada clients to develop deeper and/or new relationships that will expand our engagement and footprint.
- Champion GTO Canada solutions and value in the market, together with other BR leaders (eg. Product, Sales) to create visibility and interest in our capabilities.
- Participate throughout the sales cycle for major new opportunities, leveraging deep industry knowledge of products, clients and operations. Bring market and business experiences to the forefront of the process, communicating Broadridge value in client-specific business case / KPI terminology.
- Collaborate with Canada Strategy, Product and Customer Transformation teams, to identify product solutions and offerings, acting as executive sponsor of key initiatives supporting growth.
Client Business Management
- Oversee client-facing teams supporting GTO clients, ensuring service models are client-centric to provide the best client experience.
- Optimize team structures and service models to achieve best-in-class client outcomes.
- Establish and manage KPI reporting to track performance and continuously drive improvement.
- Actively participate in client-facing governance and relationship meetings
- Define and implement strategies to improve timeliness, quality, and overall client experience of production services.
- Help manage active incident calls as necessary
Business Operations
- Align business vision and strategy into operational tactics; initiate and preside over business transformation and productivity initiatives in a manner that systematically improves operational execution, and creates organizational capacity and standards across operating units
- Oversee activities related to continuously enhancing our client service excellence, and Broadridge Canada’s Net Promoter client scores.
- Enhance management processes, analytics, and reporting structures to provide visibility into operational and financial performance.
- Partner with Finance and HR on headcount, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Drive continuous improvement, fostering a culture rigor, accountability, and measurable success.
- Lead initiatives that strengthen cultural unity, associate engagement, and our Great Place to Work commitments, including the Hearts & Minds program.
Market and Client Advocacy
- Act as a key ambassador for Broadridge’s Canadian solutions in collaboration with Product and Sales leaders.
- Engage with clients and the market to position Broadridge’s capabilities, leveraging deep product and operational knowledge.
- Stay current on industry trends, technology innovations, and regulatory developments affecting the Canadian and adjacent markets.
Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years in business, technology and/or client leadership roles within Financial Services, Fintech, or Technology sectors.
- Proven P&L ownership, with a track record of delivering results in a complex regulatory and market environment.
- Strong track record leading-scale transformation initiatives from strategy through execution.
- Strong program management capabilities with disciplined execution and proactive leadership.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills within a matrixed environment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead through influence and directly manage high-performing teams.
- Deep understanding of multi-product portfolios across multiple market sectors.
- A proactive, results-oriented, and collaborative leadership style suited to complex and dynamic environments.
- Superior communication and change management skills. Demonstrated ability to drive change, motivate and lead teams to successful outcomes.
- Demonstrate a ‘can-do’ and proactive attitude to lead within a dynamic and complex market.
- Extensive contacts within the Canadian financial industry and Canadian regulators are assets
Salary range $300,000.00- $350,000.00. Bonus Eligible.
