Starting Rate: $40.96 per hour based on experience & certifications.
Job Duties Include:
Reporting to the Lead Hand Journeyperson Plumber, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of all plumbing systems across the property, including water distribution, steam, drainage, sewage, and associated equipment
- Respond to emergency and routine work orders promptly, delivering efficient solutions with minimal disruption to guests and operations
- Execute preventive maintenance programs and identify system deficiencies, recommending improvements to ensure safety, reliability, and efficiency
- Maintain accurate records in CMMS (Transcendent), manage inventory levels, and ensure tools, equipment, and workspaces meet safety and audit standards
- Collaborate with Engineering team members, contractors, and other departments to coordinate work, support projects, and maintain seamless hotel operations
- Ensure full compliance with Alberta Building Code, safety regulations (WHMIS/OHSA), and Fairmont service standards while delivering professional, discreet service in guest areas
Your Skills & Qualifications:
- Valid Journeyperson Plumber certification (Alberta or equivalent)
- Previous experience in a hospitality or large facility environment is an asset
- Strong working knowledge of commercial plumbing systems
- Basic understanding of refrigeration systems is an asset
- Familiarity with CMMS systems preferred
- Solid understanding of WHMIS, OHSA, and safety best practices
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly responsible, reliable, and able to work independently
- Ability to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong focus on guest service and operational excellence
